First Commercial Product to Leverage New HOOPS Libraries for Mac OS X

Tech Soft America (TSA), the leading provider of component graphics technology to the CAD/CAM/CAE industry, today announced that its HOOPS 3D Application Framework (HOOPS/3daf) for Mac OS X has helped SolidWorks Corporation bring its eDrawings design communication solution to Apple's Mac OS X platform.

Ron Fritz, managing partner for TSA, noted, "We're delighted that the cross-platform nature of HOOPS/3dAF proved vital to the delivery of eDrawings to the Mac OS X platform. This new release of eDrawings is the first of what we expect to be many CAD/CAM/CAE applications built using HOOPS for Mac OS X."

Austin O'Malley, vice president of product development for SolidWorks, added, "TSA's rapid and robust support for Mac OS X helped us deliver eDrawings to an exciting new community of users. As we've evolved and extended the eDrawings solution, we've been continually impressed with the responsiveness of the HOOPS team."
