Sonic Solutions (SNIC: sentiment, chart, options) products include software and hardware for creating digital audio and video titles, recording data files to CD-R and DVDs, and backing up information stored on hard drives. The company originally focused on audio products but has boosted its consumer DVD operations. SNIC also licenses its technology to third parties that incorporate it into their own products. The stock is down for the second consecutive day after the company reported fourth-quarter earnings Monday. Although the earnings and revenue numbers were higher than analysts expected, some comments in the conference call following the report caused concern. Quite a few calls were added Monday at the May and June 17.50 strikes (with the stock trading near 16). The stock is currently trading at 14.46, making those calls essentially worthless.
